PolisPlan is a mobile consultancy able and willing to come to your town or community anywhere in Australia. We hope to facilitate social change through public speaking, workshops, documentary photography and creative writing.
We work with local government, community groups or private developers to create self-reliant and resilient communities. This involves implement emerging ideas such as online sharing economy platforms, (sometimes called collaborative consumption), community renewable energy schemes, circular economy principles, cohousing and Transition Town ideas.
We encourage local communities to focus on engaging with neighbours and other members of the local community to find ways of collaborating through which both the individual and collective needs of all members of the community can be satisfied.
We also work in the traditional town planning and flood risk management industries. Our particular strength is in the strategic aspects of flood risk management, where we can assist local government in reinforcing the relationship between land use planning and flood risk management, facilitating the conversion of flood studies into flood risk management plans. We also prepare development contributions plans for Councils as well as working with private developers, assisting them to prepare development proposals and planning agreements.
